Taking Down A Radio Tower…

  1. Scary stuff Paul. My first attempt putting the FM yagi up using the tractor ended when the cable broke – bending the steel pipe but fortunately it pulled up short of the ground and the antenna survived

    1. Phew! Tragedy averted! My 17m tower at Waianakarua didn’t survive the 140kmh gusts we had in September last year. One of the 12mm nylon top guys snapped, the tower twisted and folded right over the cabin… just broke a barge-board. Bevan Ormandy knew how to build solid cabins!
