The DMZ of the Airwaves

All is fair in love and war… and truces too it seems. Whilst technically the Korean war is over and there is a semblance of the one-sided truce (the South didn’t sign), there is a battle of the airwaves taking place.

Clandestine broadcasts are frequently jammed around the globe but only domestic broadcasts are jammed when you have neighbourly rivals. Enter the Koreas. There is a good article of South jamming the North on the NK*News*Org website and the North also block some broadcasts from the South. Long-time pseudo-KBS outlet the “Echo of Hope” is one of them.
